Membership
Membership of the Association is open to all suitably qualified persons and indeed all those concerned with the theory and practice of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics. We are therefore by policy and design, a very broad church. more>>

Meetings
Between two and three meetings of the Association are held
annually in the UK. Themes for the meetings are chosen to meet the general and special interests of members and colleages.
AVCPT also holds joint
meetings with other specialist societies. Including:
- British Veterinary Zoological Society,
- the Association of Veterinary
Anaesthetists,
- the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society,
- British Pharmacological
Society.
Occasionally AVCPT Workshops are convened to encourage discussion and
to establish the Associations policy on important issues such as the teaching
of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics and guidelines on the field-testing
of animal medicines.

ECPVT
European
College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (ECVPT) is a certifying body in comparative and applied veterinary pharmacology
and toxicology.
The primary objective of the college is to advance veterinary
pharmacology and toxicology in Europe and to increase the competence of
those who are active in this field. The ECVPT, in co-operation with EAVPT,
is active in providing courses and workshops as well as guidelines for
post-graduate education and training. |
