Sally graduated from University College Dublin in 1990. Following a year in mixed practice she completed a two year internship in small animal internal medicine at the University Of Glasgow Veterinary School and during this time completed a certificate in Small Animal Cardiology. She then completed a PhD in cardiovascular pharmacology at Glasgow University before taking up the post of Lecturer in Veterinary Pharmacology at Glasgow Veterinary School. She is currently Lecturer in Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (Edinburgh). Particular areas of interest include: Rational use of antimicrobials, ESBL producing E.coli and their role in companion animal infections and adult cardiac stem cell biology.
